Hi all,

As many of you know, I've spent most of my life dedicated to working with children who have medical illnesses. As a sophomore in college, I embarked on my first journey working with sick kids. At a place called Victory Junction, in rural North Carolina, I discovered my personal passion for working with children with life-threatening and chronic illnesses. From there, I set off on my life goal of becoming a pediatrician to help treat kids who were in the hospital or who lived with chronic illnesses or who were differently-abled. In August 2015, I began medical school training at the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore MD. It was here where I was first introduced to Believe in Tomorrow. I immediately fell in love with their mission and their values. I started running the 6K in 2017 and this will be my fourth year running the race. I am now fortunate enough to be a pediatrics resident doctor at Johns Hopkins Children's center. My story feels like is has come full circle, and I now have the honor of taking care of the many children at the Children's Center. and have had the chance to meet families who have stayed at the Children's House. I've learned how invaluable the Children's House is for families when they have a child receiving medical care at the Children's Center. I'm extremely GRATEFUL and HUMBLED to continue my journey at Hopkins and Believe in Tomorrow is a huge reason for that.

Believe in Tomorrow has been a constant source of light in my life the past few years. Their organization has shown me that there is so much more to life than the little things that most people worry about on a daily basis. Believe in Tomorrow provides incredible resources to children and their families while they are dealing with medical problems. They also provide respite housing in places like Ocean City, MD to allow these families to enjoy time together away from a hospital setting. Any donation you can make to this wonderful organization will go a long way to helping these families.

Please feel free to share this with anyone you feel may be interested in helping to support such an amazing cause. Thanks in advance for your time and generosity!

The money that Believe Battalion members raise helps ensure families never have to worry about their basic family needs while their child is in treatment – because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
